Cabaret duo Jennie Litt (vocals) and David Alpher (piano) reprise their acclaimed program exploring the songs of Broadway composer Richard Rodgers with his two great collaborators, Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein II. Lifebridge Sanctuary, a 12,000-square-foot hand-crafted, green facility on the northern crest of the Shawangunk Ridge, features a lofty, serene wood-and-stone concert space’Äîa gorgeous environment for music. Lydia Newcombe hosts a gala house concert featuring Marla Rathbun, violin; Abby Newton, cello; and David Alpher, piano, at one of Kingston's most beautiful and historic homes. Join us for two of the literature’s greatest piano trios, followed by an authentic English afternoon tea: scones, finger sandwiches, strawberries and cream. Wine and hors d'oeuvres, a soaring industrial space high above Chelsea, the glorious black-and-white gelatin silver prints of Philip Perkis, and a rare NYC appearance by cabaret duo Jennie Litt & David Alpher performing Smart-Alecky Songs for Serious Times, a collection of Alpher/Litt originals — satirical songs and quirky ballads in the grand tradition of Tom Lehrer and Dave Frishberg.
